Mr. Wang Quangeng, director of Midland Apparel and general manager of Metersbonwe Brands, told the China Business News that “In 2009, the Transformers series developed in cooperation with Paramount Pictures and Hasbro International was awarded Great success, so we continued to cooperate with DreamWorks to develop cartoon image series.” Wang Quangen introduced that “Transformers” series of garments has sold about 2 million pieces so far, and the sales amount has exceeded 100 million yuan. It has won through the Internet and other forms. With more than 30 million people watching, Meibang clothing is located in some stores in Shunde, Guangdong, and the “Transformers” series of clothing sales accounted for 35% of its total sales. This is a powerful boost to the sales of Smith Barney in 2009.

According to the agreement, in the next three years, all the cartoon images of DreamWorks' Meibang costumes will have the exclusive right to use in fashion development. These images come from popular movies such as Kung Fu Panda, Monster Shrek, and Madagascar. In 2009, Meibang Apparel implanted the "Metersbonwe" brand in "Transformers 2", and Meibang Apparel did not rule out the placement of advertisements in "Kung Fu Panda 2" released in 2011.

In addition to cooperating with DreamWorks, Wang Quangeng said that he also cooperated with Shanghai Fine Arts Studio and Japan’s Hello Kitty image rights company Sanrio Foods. All the above cartoon costumes belong to the “MTEE” series.

In 2009, the "Transformers" series apparel of Meibang Garments was only sold in more than 100 selected stores. The "MTEE" series products developed this year will be sold in approximately 3,000 stores nationwide in April. Wang Quangeng said: "We want to introduce nearly 10,000 models in this series and hope to be the first brand in the domestic printing and apparel industry."
