In the same period, textile industries in Asian countries such as China, India and Bangladesh developed rapidly. The data shows that in 2009, China imported 5.04 million spindles, which accounted for about 70% of the world's total imports; India imported 1.37 million spindles, which accounted for about 19%, followed by Vietnam and Bangladesh, which imported 111,000 and 108,000 respectively. . In the same year, China imported 25,600 sets of shuttleless looms, accounting for 59% of the world's total imports; Bangladesh imported 8,400 shuttleless looms, accounting for about 19%.
