The quality of some brand-name clothing in Beijing has caused Wuhan to examine itself. Yesterday, Wuhan Industrial and Commercial Bureau stated that the business sector will continue to pay attention to this development and strengthen the monitoring of the local clothing market.

A few days ago, the Beijing Consumers' Association conducted a random sampling of casual wear on the market. The results showed that nearly 40% of the sampled samples were not safe enough for PH value, color fastness, etc., and they were prone to irritation or skin damage. Unqualified products include famous brands such as ZARA, Marlboro, Weiming, sketch, G2000, Golden Crocodile, Hush Pupp, Luo Meng, Guan Qi and others.

The reporter visited and learned that most brands that have detected problems in the Beijing market have sales in Wuhan. In a shopping mall in Hankou, consumers Xiao ** said that at least in a certain period of time, they will not buy these branded products.

It is reported that last year, the 12315 Command Center in Wuhan received a total of 5,119 complaints in apparel. Since the beginning of this year, Wuhan City has accepted a total of 1,708 complaints concerning clothing, an increase of 75.36% over the same period of last year, including 465 complaints regarding the quality of clothing, an increase of 167.24% year-on-year.

According to relevant person in charge of the Wuhan City Bureau of Industry and Commerce, clothing, food, housing, and transportation are the topics most concerned by consumers. The industry and commerce departments will strengthen the inspection and guidance of the clothing market.
