Recently, the international cotton market worried that Greece will withdraw from the euro zone, the global economic slowdown has deepened, and international cotton prices continue to fall. China's imported cotton price index was 86.94 cents/lb, which was lower than the domestic similar level of 4883 yuan. In late May, the decline in China's cotton price index hit a record low since March 2011.

The goal of the macroeconomic control policy for cotton is to stabilize and this policy will not change. Relevant departments said that from the recent analysis of the market, the weather in most parts of the country is normal, which is conducive to the growth of cotton seedlings. The rainfall in the Yangtze River basin has been weakened. Local cotton farmers started transplanting cotton seedlings after they were harvested. Xinjiang's cotton transportation has accelerated. Judging from the current situation, the overall weather conditions in Xinjiang are good, the light and temperature are appropriate, and the growth of new cotton is favorable. The growth of cotton is good, and the development period is 1 to 14 days earlier than usual; the temperature in the cotton area of ​​the Yellow River valley is high, the light is sufficient, and most soil moisture is It is more suitable to develop cotton seedlings normally, but in some areas of Hebei and Henan, due to high temperature and little rain, there are different levels of drought, which is slightly detrimental to the growth of cotton; the recent precipitation in the cotton region of the Yangtze River Valley gradually weakens, most of the time there is sufficient light, and soil moisture is suitable. It facilitates transplanting cotton seedlings after harvesting.

According to statistics from the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and the BINGTUAN Cotton Association, as of now, Xinjiang has processed about 3.5 million tons of ginned cotton, with an average of 250 vehicles shipped daily, and the speed of cotton shipments has accelerated. At present, nearly 1.6 million tons of cotton (including 1.16 million tons of reserve cotton) are waiting for shipment for each railway line.
