Environmentally-friendly bamboo and linen textiles are promising

Invited by the Hunan Zhuma Deep Processing Industry, Research, and Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, renowned academician of the China Academy of Engineering and former president of the China Textile Academy, Mei Ziqiang, recently led a group of domestic textile experts to visit three key textile enterprises in Hunan: Yiyang Ruiya Hi-Tech, Qijiang Star Maye, and others. The visit aimed to promote technological innovation and sustainable development within the textile industry. At Yiyang Ruiya Gaoke Textiles Co., Ltd., a leading member of the Hunan Zhuma Alliance, Academician Mei commended the company’s recent breakthroughs in invention patents. He emphasized that the development of eco-friendly and functional bamboo and hemp textiles is not only a competitive edge in the market but also crucial for the long-term survival and growth of the industry. Ruiya Tech has consistently focused on independent innovation while actively collaborating with research institutions and both upstream and downstream partners. This strategy has enabled the company to accelerate its research into new technologies and products, significantly boosting its innovation pace. During the visit, Academician Mei also offered valuable insights on technical challenges such as the treatment of bamboo fiber and hemp, as well as the implementation of pollution-free production methods in textile manufacturing. His suggestions highlighted the importance of environmental responsibility and technological advancement in shaping the future of the textile sector.
