"Redwood Product Grade" was formally introduced

The “Redwood Product Grade” standard will be implemented in March next year. The standard classifies mahogany products into national special grades, first grades, second grades, according to species, hearth and sapwood, material, moisture content, product requirements, design, and technology. Qualified, and issued a certificate of grade of mahogany products. In the future, consumers can purchase mahogany furniture with reference to mahogany product grade certificates, just as there are A goods, B goods, and C goods when they buy jade.

In the standards of “Rainbow Product Grades”, the certification of special grade and first grade redwood products shall be issued by a state-level inspection agency, industry inspection agency, or a statutory inspection agency entrusted by the state or industry, and shall be issued by the state-level industry authority or The group organizes the industry certification meeting to pass the review. Grade II and unqualified redwood products are assessed by the organization under the guidance and supervision of local assessment committees.

At present, the Redwood Committee of China has researched and formulated the “Rums of Redwood Products” implementation rule. In March 2013, the first trials will cover the key regions of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region, the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta, and the Redwood Industry Cluster; in 2014, it will cover All cities above prefecture level; January 1, 2015, will be implemented nationwide.

The "Redwood Products Grade" standard is also issued this month along with the "Redwood Commercial Name" standard. The "Hongmu Commercial Name" specifies the commercial name of the mahogany furniture material. Unknown mahogany names and false titles will not be allowed to be used in circulation.
