Research Institute: ordinary T-shirt sunscreen effect is better than sunscreen clothing

National standard: When the UV protection value (UPF) of textiles is greater than 40, and the transmittance of UVA is less than 5%, it can be called "UV protection" products. In the face of the market's dazzling sunscreen clothing, consumers are very entangled: "Sunscreen clothing" is really sunscreen? The Zhejiang Textile Testing Institute tested the authentic sunscreen clothing and ordinary cotton T-shirts on the market, and found that the anti-ultraviolet effect of ordinary cotton T-shirts was better than the sunscreen rating. Therefore, experts suggest that you should not be superstitious about brand and promotion, the same material, the thicker the fabric, the darker the clothes, the better the sunscreen effect.

@Zhejiang Textile Institute Technical Inspection Department is strict: UV is divided into three bands, among which the ultraviolet rays that cause sunburn on human skin are long-wave UVA, which can directly reach the dermis layer of the skin.
